After a long hot summer and an even longer pause for COVID-19, Alserkal Avenue is back in the swing of things with a full day and night to explore the new exhibitions on show.
Nine new exhibitions are going to be on show including a solo show of Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim’s work at Lawrie Shabibi, Phillip Mueller at Carbon 12 and some incredible drawings by Saba Qizilbash at 1x1 space. Also on show will be some geometric calligraphic works of Wissam Shawkat at Showcase Gallery, works from North African artists in El Marsa, and in Green Art Gallery, the fascinating practice of Hera Büyüktaşcıyan will be a feast for the eyes and for the intellect. Ayyam Gallery will have a display of some of their leading artists and don’t forget to pop into SVENM to see more design-based work. Zawyeh Gallery has organised a collective exhibition on resilience for Palestinian artists and Mohammed Melehi’s work is still on show in Concrete.
