The public are invited to celebrate the new season at Alserkal Lates. On 24 September, the contemporary art galleries in the Avenue will extend their hours as they present their latest exhibitions. A curated trail around the exhibitions with arts writer Laura Egerton will depart from A4 Space at 7pm.

The retail spaces and original concepts in the Avenue will also stay open until 9pm, and there are a number of events and activities that are open to the public.

Events during the evening include the first contemporary dance performance at Concrete, the multi-purpose space designed by Rem Koolhaas’ OMA. Reconstruct, performed by the Miglė Praniauskaitė Dance Company asks us to break away from our fixation on deconstruction and focus on putting everything in its place instead.

Alserkal Residency Selection Committee member Diana Campbell Betancourt will speak at Alserkal Residency about the Samdani Art Foundation, of which she is Artistic Director. Other events include an open-warehouse concert at The Fridge, and a jewellery rendering workshop at The Jewel Teller.

6PM: Workshop: Jewellery rendering with watercolour at The Jewel Teller.
7PM: Curated trail around the new exhibitions at the contemporary art galleries, led by arts writer Laura Egerton. Meet inside A4 Space.
7.30PM: Concert at The Fridge | Late Night with NOON 2.0 and Callhouse Theory. Free and open to all.
8.30PM: Contemporary dance performance in Concrete by the Miglė Praniauskaitė Dance Company. Free and open to all, seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
