Have you ever wanted to dine in the presence of a multi-million dollar balloon dog? Well, now that wish can be granted with the latest pop up exhibition from Opera Gallery in collaboration with La Petite Maison in Dubai. To mark Dubai's Art Week, the gallery have loaned some of its priceless collection of Jeff Koons works to the restaurant to impress diners and to mimic the experience of eating at the house of a world-class art collector.

The American artist Jeff Koons’ balloon animal sculptures are cast in porcelain and rendered in vividly colours. In 2013, Koons’ Balloon Dog (Orange) broke the record for any living artist when it sold for USD 58.4 million at auction. I'm not putting a price on the ones going into La Petite Maison but they will be worth a pretty penny.

There will be other pieces on display such as the tactile and heavily layered acrylic paintings by Chilean painter Eduardo Guelfenbein. The works will be on display at La Petite Maison in Dubai International Financial Centre from March 15 until March 24. Book your table now if you want to get into the spirit of art season in Dubai.
